I am a software delivery consultant based in Leeds, UK. I am Head of Consulting at Conflux, where I specialise in applying Continuous Delivery and operability techniques for software in manufacturing, ecommerce, and online services, including cloud, IoT, and embedded software. I also help organisations to design and optimise their teams for effective software delivery using Team Topologies.
Before founding Conflux, I co-founded pioneering DevOps consultancy Skelton Thatcher Consulting together with Rob Thatcher where, between 2013 and 2017, we led industry thinking around software operability and DevOps team topologies in particular. In 2017, we shifted focus onto our Team Guide series of books under Skelton Thatcher Publications.
I founded the first conference in Europe dedicated to Continuous Delivery, PIPELINE Conference, and the 2400-member London Continuous Delivery meetup group. I now also lead the not-for-profit CodeMill digital skills initiative and Assembly Conference for digital in manufacturing and making.
In my spare time, I play in various music ensembles (trumpet, voice) and enjoy trail running.
